Tech Production Intern
Fustic. is looking for a Tech Production Intern to support our upcoming projects. It suits young people who love technology and new media art, and who want to experience a multidisciplinary studio where art and technology meet.
🔧 What you'll do
- Programming & development
Write small code modules and handle logic or visual effects to the Tech Lead's brief. - Technology research (R&D)
Explore and test new technologies (sensors, interactive tech, AI, game engines…) to find ways to build the Creative team's wildest ideas. - Installation & operation (on-site)
Help the team set up hardware (computers, screens, sensors, LEDs…) and run the systems at project sites and events. - Debugging & optimisation
Hunt down and fix bugs so everything runs smoothly, without stutter or lag.
🎨 What we're looking for
Hard skills
- Solid programming foundations: A clear understanding of algorithms and basic data structures.
- Fluent in at least one language: Python or JavaScript (Python is a big plus).
- Comfortable reading technical documentation in English.
Nice to have
- Knowledge of, or a passion for, Creative Coding (GLSL, HLSL, TouchDesigner, Processing, p5.js…).
- Experience with game engines (Unreal Engine 5, Unity).
- Basic hardware and electronics knowledge (Arduino, sensors, LEDs).
- Knowledge of generative AI (Stable Diffusion, ComfyUI…) is a big plus.
Mindset
- "Can-do" attitude
Not afraid of hard problems, and happy to dive into new things nobody has taught you yet. - A love of art and visuals
Code has to run correctly, but it also has to look "beautiful". - Careful and responsible
Your code will run on real systems in front of an audience.
