An exhibition at Davos 2022 turns voices into gemstone sculptures. The exhibition explored the preservation of the most remarkable, influential voices, which encapsulated messages of love, hope, and legacy.

In early 2022, the World Economic Forum commissioned Fustic. & R100 Studio to craft their largest tech-art exhibition to date, titled 'Messages of Hope.' This curated collection, featuring influential voices like Sadhguru, Rupi Kaur, and Dr. Jane Goodall, premiered at the Davos main Congress Center. The exhibition explored the preservation of the most remarkable, influential voices, which encapsulated messages of love, hope, and legacy.
The technical core of the installation is the Voice Gems system, a generative art framework developed over a decade of research by Trung Bao (founder of Fustic.) and Harry Yeff (ReepsOne). The process converts vocal data into unique 3D digital gemstones by routing recordings through a system of 200,000 particles. Specific data features including volume, pitch, and harmonics function as sculpting parameters, determining the specific colors, form, and geometry of each gemstone. This method treats data as a living trace of human gesture, turning the transient rhythm of speech into a permanent, architectural sound sculpture.
The exhibition functions as a contemporary narrative environment where technology acts as a medium for resonance. By translating the "fingerprint" of the human voice into a visual medium, the work moves beyond simple spectacle to create a sense of presence and connection. The resulting seventeen one-of-a-kind works of art allow the audience to interact with the voice as a sensitive instrument, making the intangible spectrum of human emotion tangible through high-fidelity digital forms.
